Air chargeable weight
Chargeable weight usually compares gross actual weight with volumetric weight. Confirm the divisor, rounding and tariff rules with the carrier.

Why volume matters
Chargeable weight usually compares gross actual weight with volumetric weight. Confirm the divisor, rounding and tariff rules with the carrier.
Worked example
At an agreed divisor of 6,000, a 100×80×60 cm package has volumetric weight of 80 kg. If actual weight is 50 kg, the initial comparison selects 80 kg; minimum charges and rate breaks may still affect the invoice.
Packaging decisions
Measure final outer dimensions including pallets. Reduce empty space without weakening protection, and declare stackability, batteries and special cargo.
